First Link Program
The program connects newly diagnosed individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia and their families to information, support and community resources. Since the inception of the program in 2005, over 200 people have been referred to the program, almost half of whom live in rural communities.

Teen Mentoring

The program matches students in grade 10 with  children in grade three from Winston Churchill High School and Park Meadows Elementary. During the school year the children and teens meet for an hour and enjoy activities, snacks and a comfortable environment where they can bond. The results of this program will be skill building, social and self confidence and set goals geared towards personal and academic success.

Teen Stuff
An evening drop-in youth program to engage young people aged 12 - 19 in a safe, fund environment where they can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop skills for life.

These programs offer age appropriate activities 5 days per week for children in the Crowsnest Pass area. Kids are given the opportunity to learn new skills and socialize with their peers, building a strong foundation for confidence and a source of positive role models.

Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP)

Provides medical equipment at no charge to people recovering from illness or injury at home who otherwise would be unable to afford it on their own. Items include walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, and bathing aids.

Palliative Care Volunteer Skill and Knowledge Training
Volunteers working in the Palliative Care unit act as advocates, educators and companions to those receiving care. This sustainable training program will give these volunteers the tools and knowledge to comfort and guide both patients and their families during this difficult stage.

Baby Bundle Program
Provides increased nourishment and access to resources for expectant parents. Baby bundles provide food and supplies for infants under the age of 1 year and give parents the proper tools to ensure a safe home environment for baby.

Programs & Support Services

Clients receive individual and collective support for themselves and family. LACLS empowers individuals by building community capacity to benefit from the contribution of people with disabilities. Information sessions are given on financial planning, building social networks of support and how to create a home and to live independently. LACL connects individuals and families to support one another and provide guidance.

Food Bank

Students struggling with tuition and book fees may not be able to afford a balanced diet for themselves or family. The Food Bank grants students access to nutrition and regular meals.

Subsidized Counseling

Short term or early intervention to low income residents who do not have the resources to pay for counselling. Therapists provide a wide range of treatment modalities, such as; cognitive behavioural, family systems, solution-focused, narrative, play therapy and EMDR.

Physical Therapy

Provides riding experience in a therapeutic capacity to the disabled. Riders improve his/her skills at riding, while experience increased muscle strength, flexibility and balance. Riders develop a close bond with their horses while they learn to groom and care for the animals.

The program makes car seats available to families who are unable to afford them for their children. This group includes those who are barriered, either financially, mentally or physically.

A.S.K Learning Centre

A unique female-only alternative school providing a safe learning environment suited to those participants who are not comfortable/welcome in a mainstream learning environment. Many programs provide personal and occupational skills required to obtain and maintain employment, return to school, and / or  raise their children.

Girls Space

Provides programming at no charge in a safe, female centered environment to girls in Lethbridge & Area. A an at of empowerment staff work with the girls to identify areas of interests and develop the program curriculum and activities to meet these needs.

Harbour House

Provides accommodation and support the needs of women escaping an abusive relationship. The shelter’s primary target is abused women with children, however, those without children and other women needing short tem accommodation are welcome if space permits.
