About the United Way

Who Are We & What Do We Do?

United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta is an incorporated non profit charity focused on providing programs and services which:

  • remove barriers to learning and life for disadvantaged children and youth.
  • reduce conflict and violence in people’s lives and homes.
  • care for the health and well-being of seniors and people with physical and mental limitations.
  • assist economically challenged families to become stabilized and connected the community.

    • How Do We Do This?

    The United Way Community Fund is the backbone of a strategy for making positive changes in Lethbridge & South Western Alberta. It is important that relationships are formed with the private, public and non profit sectors to raise dollars for this fund by:

  • holding Special Events.
  • offering the Payroll Deduction Program to employees at work.
  • receiving Corporate Donations.
  • receiving donations from individuals in the community.
