Operations
A volunteer Board of Directors governs the United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta. Their expertise provides the vision and direction for the organization. This group of individuals takes the responsibility for the financial decisions and performance of the organization, raising thousands of dollars every year for registered charitable organization’s programs and services.
The volunteers and staff at United Way are responsible for all United Way actions in the areas of community impact, fundraising, pledge processing, donor services, marketing, communications, finance and administration.
Donor Member
All persons, businesses or corporations who make an annual contribution to the United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta will become a member of the organization for the duration of the year which the contribution is made. Therefore, Donor Members are eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting if they wish.
Funded Member Agency
Canadian Registered Charitable Organizations, who have been approved by the Board of Directors of the United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta, will receive funds and in turn become a member for the year they have been approved. Neither Funded Member Agencies nor individuals having relations with the Funded Member Agency, regardless of whether a financial contribution was made, will have voting rights.
