Our mission, “To improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action", would not be possible without the many volunteers, corporate sponsors, funded agency partners, individual donors and workplace donors.
A better community is builts by a network of people who have a passion for giving and supporting those in need. We are proud to be a part of this movement towards a happier and healthier community for all and to witness the impact made by all United Way contributors which resonates through Lethbridge and surrounding communities.
Those benefiting from our funded programs are not always faceless strangers, they are our neighbours, co-workers, friends and family. Often we do not realize that the services they rely on are funded throug the United Way
The increasing dollars raised through our annual Campaign in the fall and the many United Way special events all contribute to our continually growing success.
Each passing year we witness increasing compassion and community spirit from individuals, businesses and community groups. However, providing funds for the many programs and services provided by our Funded Agency Partners, through the United Way Community Fund, is only one aspect of our operation.
We have recently initiated our own programs through partnerships with local businesses and other not-for-profits which provide health and educational assistance for our youngest community members: Milk Program, Coats for Kids & Families and Tools for School.
